Daljit Dilber

Presenter of Savee Patar - Monday 7pm to 9pm - Saavey Pattar - literary programme discussing Punjabi poetry, novels, short stories and films as well as cultural aspects of Panjabi life.

Daljeet Singh Dilber has been presenting on Awaz Fm for 25 years. He has been living in Scotland since 1977 after arriving from India where he was a post-graduate in Zoology. Now a retired sub-postmaster, he is active in the Panjabi community and participates in several volunteering activities. He has also taken up acting as a hobby and has appeared in a number of Bollywood films as well as national campaigns for Covid and flu vaccinations for NHS Scotland. He likes to spend time with his wife  and family and enjoys holidaying, reading and singing in his spare time.
